A mouse in shades of blue
Almost everything about this mouse is blue. Her glossy deep blue head is shown in profile, with two large pale blue ears and a small blue-green bow. A blue tail curls into a loop behind her, and two little pale blue arms peep out from either side of her dress.
The A-line dress is white, covered in blue flowers and foliage that bring to mind traditional blue and white pottery. Each colour is edged with a fine gold-tone outline, and the whole back of the brooch is gold-tone. This little mouse has her place in our mouse brooch collection.
Two dangling legs that move with you
Beneath the dress, two gold-tone legs are attached separately by small rings. They end in tiny two-tone shoes, dark blue at the toe and pale blue above. Because they aren't fixed, they shift position as you walk or handle the brooch.
The legs take up a good part of the 7.5 cm height. Choose a spot where they can hang freely: a jacket lapel, the top of a coat, the side of a fabric bag. Avoid the area just above a pocket or a row of buttons, where they would bump against them.
What to wear with the blue mouse
Blue stands out best against a light or neutral background: a cream jumper, a crisp white shirt, grey marl, a beige trench coat. Putting on and removing the magnet
The brooch has no pin. A magnetic disc is fixed to the back of the head, and a separate round gold-tone plate comes with it. Place the mouse on the outside of your garment, then the plate on the inside, directly opposite the disc: the two magnets hold each other through the fabric.
